NUST has held on to the Diamond Arrow Award since it was presented to the then Polytechnic for the first time in 2009, while between 2002 and 2008, the institution had received the PMR Golden Arrow Award annually.
The awards are the culmination of a research process whereby companies and institutions are rated based on respondents’ perceptions, with a strong focus on evaluating and measuring customer service and satisfaction. The Vice-Chancellor said proudly: “This attests to the results-driven ethos of the institution, where innovation is the engine that creates a continuous cycle of quality learning and improvement, renewal and growth. I thank all the internal and external stakeholders for their support and contribution to our growth.”
The CEO of PMR Africa, Johan Hattingh, explained that during the research, 160 people in leadership positions were interviewed. Hattingh said: “PMR Africa wants the companies to utilise the award, not as a marketing tool only, but also to thank their staff. After all, there is a successful team behind each successful and highly rated company, department or institution.”
The event, where more than 30 categories of awards were presented, was attended by more than 100 representatives from various business sectors.
