One of these was the Transport and Logistics Society which, in collaboration with the Namibian- German Institute for Logistics and TransNamib Holdings Ltd, visited several schools in the Northern regions to inform and enlighten learners about Transport and Logistics courses offered by the Poly.
Gerson Nghishiimwene, President of the Society, said the aim of the visits was to ensure that Government efforts are not wasted on poor service, especially in the area of Transport and Losgistics.
“The educational tours show that our nation has a need to create a coordinated education system from primary to tertiary institutions. A quality product from a coordinated education system relies heavily on transport and logistics, like all other industries.
“A coordinated education system is then integrated into the market needs and therefore we are pleased to have TransNamib Holdings Ltd on board,” Nghishiimwene said. The members of the society who undertook the school visits are pictured above.
